Thank you for your interest in the Irwin Bank and
Trust Community Profit Sharing Program. Irwin Bank is proud of its role
as both community leader and responsible corporate citizen. Your
request will be carefully evaluated and considered.
Applicants are advised not to assume approval or eligibility. Given
the volume of requests submitted, not all can be accommodated. Receipt
of the application, therefore, does not guarantee our commitment.
Applications will be considered on their quality of preparation,
amounts requested and value of their proposed outcomes. Approved
applications may result in complete, partial or matching financial
participation.
Statement of Purpose
The Irwin Bank and Trust Community Profit Sharing Program exists to
support a wide range of projects and events in the communities we
serve. The objective of the program is to support projects and events
that benefit as many people as possible while building a positive image
for the Bank. Guidelines of Eligibility
Requests are evaluated and approved by a review committee. Requests
fall under two general categories, charitable donations and event
sponsorship. Because of federal and state reporting requirements,
requests must satisfy specific technical guidelines that may supersede
the merit of the request. Irwin Bank opens the Community Profit Sharing Program to such
requests as major events sponsorships, building projects,
organizational fund raising campaigns and community improvement
projects. Guidelines may vary from year to year, but approval of
requests does not imply automatic renewal. Allocations are based on the
worthiness of the project, quality of the plan, and long range benefit
to the community. Irwin Bank may require board participation and
additional documentation, such as proof of non-profit eligibility,
waiver of liability, and notarized media schedules as terms of
acceptance.
Statement of Ineligibility
In general, the following do not qualify for this program:
- Individuals
- Organizations making large requests without 501 (c)(3) status.
- Political organizations.
- Programs that do not directly benefit communities local to Irwin Bank branch offices.
- Organizations that discriminate by race, color, creed, gender or national origin.
We look forward to reviewing your request. Thank you and we wish you success with your cause.
